The Geislinger Coupling is a torsional elastic high-damping steel spring coupling with hydrodynamic damping properties. High reliability, long intervals between overhauls, and low operating costs are the main features of this ATEX certified coupling. The Geislinger Coupling is perfectly suited for all types of drivetrains where outstanding reliability is essential.

The Geislinger Coupling is a torsional elastic, high damping steel spring coupling. For more than 60 years, it has proven its efficiency and extraordinary long service life. Resistant to heat and oil and equipped with high-grade steel springs, this advanced coupling design provides constant product performance during its entire lifetime. Highly integrated designs provide outstanding power and torque density.

While steel leaf springs transfer torque and provide elasticity, pressurized oil ensures high hydrodynamic damping.

Stiffness and damping can be pre-adjusted individually, which enables the shift of torsional critical speeds and dampen torsional vibrations. Such design flexibility allows for tailored and effective coupling solutions, which leads to an optimized system behavior in terms of performance, efficiency, and reliability.

To cope with higher misalignment requirements, the Geislinger steel spring coupling can be combined with a Geislinger Flexlink, or with a coupling from our lightweight composite GESILCO® product range. For an improved acoustical behavior Geislinger SILENCO® couplings can be combined with Geislinger steel spring couplings.

The Geislinger Coupling protects your system reliably by reducing engine excited torsional vibrations. The fatigue-resistant steel springs of the Geislinger Coupling optimize the natural frequency of the system to eliminate most of the critical resonance. Additionally, the Geislinger Coupling enables a more compact design of the whole propulsion system. This reduction in total weight leads to a better efficiency along with less loaded components and consequently longer operating times between service intervals. Supporting state-of-the-art engines, the Geislinger Coupling helps to reduce energy costs significantly.
